Patrick Burchell, M.D.
Dr. Patrick Burchell is a board-certified, fellowship-trained oculofacial plastic surgeon specializing in medical and surgical management of conditions involving the eyelids, orbit, tear ducts, and face. His areas of expertise include functional and cosmetic eyelid surgery, Mohs reconstruction, tear duct surgery, and treatment of thyroid eye disease and orbital trauma. He also performs cosmetic procedures such as brow lifts, BOTOX®, and injectable dermal fillers.
Dr. Burchell earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he also completed his ophthalmology residency, serving as Chief Resident. He completed a preliminary surgery internship at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle and an ASOPRS oculofacial plastic surgery fellowship under the mentorship of Drs. Jeffrey Nerad and Jonathan Pargament. He previously served as Director of Oculoplastics at the VA Hospital in Cincinnati and the University of Cincinnati, where he was also an Adjunct Assistant Professor.
Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Burchell has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented nationally on topics including orbital trauma and enucleation. He has been recognized with the University of Cincinnati Ophthalmology Resident Teaching Award and selection to the AAO Advocacy Ambassador Program. In his free time, he enjoys golf, deep sea fishing, spending time with his wife, and supporting the Cincinnati Bengals and Xavier basketball.
