Adam M. Nusgart, O.D.
Adam M. Nusgart, O.D., is a board-certified optometrist specializing in glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and other complex ocular conditions. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from The Ohio State University and his Doctor of Optometry from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He then completed a residency in primary care and ocular disease at Salus University, training at the Perry Point VA Medical Center in Maryland. During this time, he rotated through the renowned Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital and worked alongside glaucoma and retina specialists, managing advanced ocular diseases. Dr. Nusgart also served as a preceptor for fourth-year externs at Salus University.
His passion for eye care began at age six with his first pair of glasses, sparking a lifelong fascination with vision. In college, shadowing an optometrist confirmed his calling to help people see clearly and live better lives.
Outside of work, Dr. Nusgart enjoys spending time with his wife, Erica, and their three children. They love camping, kayaking, and hiking. As avid football fans, they look forward to Buckeye season every fall and often return to campus, where he and Erica first met.
