Welcome, Dr. Shreya Parekh!

MidWest Eye Center is pleased to welcome optometrist Dr. Shreya Parekh to our team of dedicated eye care providers. Dr. Parekh specializes in ocular disease management, dry eye treatment, pediatric eye care and post-operative surgical co-management.
Dr. Parekh is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care while helping patients protect and preserve their vision through comprehensive eye examinations, advanced diagnostic technology and evidence-based treatment. She works closely with ophthalmologists to co-manage surgical patients and diagnose and treat a wide range of ocular conditions.
Dr. Parekh earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry after completing bachelor’s degrees in vision science and health science. She went on to complete an ocular disease residency at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, where she received advanced training in diagnosing and managing complex ocular diseases with an emphasis on glaucoma and retinal disease. During her residency, she also gained experience co-managing cataract, glaucoma, retinal and refractive surgery patients while providing urgent and emergency eye care.
Throughout her clinical training, Dr. Parekh completed externships at St. Luke’s Cataract and Laser Institute, MacDill Air Force Base and Prado Vision Center. These experiences provided advanced training in comprehensive eye care, refractive surgery co-management and ocular disease management. She also presented research on glaucoma progression, retinal disease and anterior uveitis at national and regional conferences.
Known for her compassionate approach and commitment to patient education, Dr. Parekh is dedicated to helping patients feel informed, comfortable and confident throughout every state of their care.
